Consistency

Consistency as it applies to the 4 Keys to Success means to be of good character and calm demeanor. It means being fair and level-headed when managing challenges, successes, and failures. Remember, the goal is to build meaningful relationships.

Do you want to be in a relationship with a person whose emotional state is unpredictable? Do you fly off the handle when you get bad news, in both personal or professional settings, and react out of emotion? Or do you calmly receive the information, consider the impacts, and then respond?

As a leader, you should be consistent for those around you. Trust me, no one wants to work in an environment where their boss’ demeanor is as unpredictable as that of a toddler in need of a nap.

Those you lead deserve your very best, at all times, even when you don't have it to give.
